[Logan.TV] Carvana
project overview
The Carvana project aimed to revolutionize the car-buying experience by leveraging technology to create a seamless and user-friendly online platform. For this ad, we brought the Carvana car-buying experience to life in a fun 3D space, crafting eye-catching styleframes that showcased their innovative features and the excitement of their unique car vending machine. Our goal was to highlight how Carvana makes buying a car simple and enjoyable, with the added convenience of home delivery and a wide selection of vehicles. Ultimately, we wanted to connect with potential customers and inspire their confidence in the Carvana brand.
Design Process
Freelance Kickoff: During my week of freelance at Logan.tv, I got to work on the Carvana project after receiving a detailed overview.
Styleframe Creation: I developed styleframes based on the script, focusing on the unique car-buying experience and highlighting Carvana's innovative features, including their car vending machine.
Feedback and Refinement: After sharing my initial designs, I received constructive feedback from the creative director. This input was instrumental in refining the visuals to align with Carvana's brand.
Iterative Approach: This iterative process helped solidify our direction and set the stage for a strong final execution, allowing each design choice to contribute to an effective advertisement.
Results and reflection
The Carvana ad was a hit, successfully showcasing the fun and innovative car-buying experience. The styleframes we created really captured the brand's modern vibe while highlighting playful elements like their unique car vending machine, which added a delightful twist to the usual car shopping process.
Looking back on the project, I enjoyed the collaborative feedback from the creative director—it was super helpful in guiding our vision. Even though we didn’t get to animate the final version, the planning and storyboarding were genuinely exciting. It allowed us to explore creative ideas that matched Carvana's lively personality. Overall, this experience not only sharpened my design skills but also taught me how to convey a brand's fun spirit through thoughtful visual storytelling.
